Adam AI vs Microsoft Copilot
Copilot is an assistant inside Microsoft 365: it drafts, summarises and answers for one person at a time. Adam AI is a team of agents that does the work across your systems, on hardware you own, with the controls a board expects. Most of our clients run both.
Ownership

Positional agents
Every agent holds one role with bounded access. No master agent, small blast radius

Four reasons companies pick Adam AI over Microsoft Copilot
Agents, not an assistant
Copilot helps the person at the keyboard. Adam AI puts agents in positions on your org chart that do the work whether or not anyone is at a keyboard.
Pay for agents, not people
Unlimited human users on every band. Your bill tracks the agents you run, not the staff you employ.
Own the stack
Hardware, models, memory and the knowledge graph are yours. Nothing is rented, nothing phones home.
Guaranteed outcome
Readiness ends with the first agent running and the first 90 days are guaranteed. Copilot is a licence.
Straight answers
Do we have to choose between Copilot and Adam AI?
No. Most clients keep Copilot for personal drafting and use Adam AI for the work that runs the business. Adam connects to Microsoft 365 through the broker with the permissions you grant.
Can Adam AI run in our Azure tenancy?
Yes. When a single on-premises box is no longer enough the same stack runs on private GPU compute in your own Azure subscription, next to your Entra identities and SharePoint data.
Is our data used for training?
No. Local models never leave the building; where Claude is used as orchestrator, training is off and retention is 30 days, and we explain that to every client in writing.
What does Adam AI cost compared with Copilot?
A Band 3 licence is £96,000 a year for up to 200 active agents and unlimited users. Copilot for 300 users is about £100,000 a year for the assistant alone.
